Mehmet Mervan ÇAKAR
Mervan has a BSc in Molecular Biology and Genetics (IAU, 2014) and MSc in Chemistry (GTU, 2018). He studied on biocatalysis, biotransformation, cloning, protein engineering, protein purification, enzyme kinetics with substrates and inhibitors, activity assays, and high-throughput screening. In his subsequent position as a Visiting Researcher in the research group of Nicholas J. Turner at the University of Manchester, He studied the application of several biocatalysts for industrial use. Now he is an Industrial PhD Fellow at Hayat Kimya under the supervision of Dr. Barış BİNAY.
Berin received her BSC degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Istanbul Arel University in 2016. She worked on ion channels in bladder cancer under the supervision of Mustafa Djamgoz at Imperial College of London during the autumn of 2015. In September 2018, she finished her MSc in Molecular Biology and Genetics in Gebze Technical University and she is currently doin Ph. D. about recombinant enzym producing at the GERC lab.
Ğarip received his BSc ( 2016) and MSc (2018) degrees in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Gebze Technical University. In his master studies, he conducted to increase antibiotic production in Streptomyces coelicolor by gene deletion of ppk. Now he is doing PhD at GERC Lab.
Kübra received her B.Sc. (2017) and M.Sc. (2021) at Marmara University, Department of Bioengineering. For the undergraduate thesis, she worked on computational evaluation and optimization of a bioprocesses design under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dilek KAZAN. During her master’s degree, she took part in a project on the local production and development of a type of monoclonal antibody. In her master thesis, she studied on green synthesis, optimization and characterization silver nanoparticles under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ahmet Alp SAYAR and Dr. Selcen DURMAZ SAM. Now, she is a doctoral student at Biotechnology Institute of Gebze Technical University.
Uğur received his BSc degree in Chemistry from Yıldız Technical University in 2014. In 2013, he has been in Czech Republic as an erasmus student at Brno Technical University. He was interested in Biochemistry at the university and his bachelor thesis was about enzyme immobilization. Currently, he is a PhD student at Gebze Technical University and now he is doing PhD at GERC Lab.
