The 3rd International Enzyme & Bioprocess Days was held at Gaziosmanpaşa University between 9-11 September, with our GERC founder, Associate Professor Barış Binay, in the organizing committee. In this scientific organization attended by many academicians and researchers who are experts in their fields, GERC doctoral and graduate students also made presentations about their studies. Assoc. Prof. Barış BİNAY, founder of GERC, performed a presentation about protein expression challenges in Pichia pastoris in Agricultural University of Athens.
Berin has been accepted to the Enzyme Technology laboratory at the Agricultural University of Athens to carry out part of the project “More Effective L-Asparaginase Enzyme for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Therapy: Design, in vitro Application and High Production (TUBITAK-COST)” under the supervision of Professor Nikolaos Labrou.
GERC PhD Candidate Kübra went to Barcelona, Spain to perform Short Term Scientific Mission (STSM) of COST Action during the following 3 months. She will work on amylase enzyme expression in Pichia pastoris inAutonomous University of Barcelona (UAB).
